Community Supported Market (CSM)

With the popularity of farmers’ markets, food cooperatives, food buying clubs and other forms of food distribution, community supported markets represent a relatively small share of the community supported enterprise sector. Community supported markets may or may not have a storefront, but they are characterized by distribution of regular shares of food to CSM members. Shares often include locally produced fruits, vegetables, grains and value-added products as well as other food staples and health food products.
